Nashville’s Sam Felker brought home the bronze medal in his age group in the triathlon during the Outgames in Denmark. He and his partner Keith Little made the announcement on their blog earlier this week.

“Sam put a lot into this race and is deserving of his bronze,” Little wrote. “What a great surprise ending for the trip!”

Little said Outgames officials delivered the medal to their hotel room in Copenhagen. Little took the gold medal in Javelin. (See previous post)

The Outgames were not without their share of drama. O&AN previously reported that bombs were thrown onto the track during an event. Read that story here.

Nashville’s own Keith Little won another Gold medal in the Javelin today at the 2009 World Outgames in Copenhagen, Denmark. Little, who also won the Gold medal in Javelin at the 2006 Chicago Gay Games and Montreal Outgames, sealed his Gold medal win despite having to deal with less than ideal weather conditions including occasional rain showers and swirling winds.  In addition to the Gold, Little also added to his medal count by grabbing Silver in both the Hammer Throw and Shotput. Little will now take a day to rest and maybe do a little sightseeing tomorrow before cheering on his partner, Sam Felker, as Felker competes in Saturday’s triathlon.
